Vivo's new camera flagship — the X300 Ultra — has been the talk of the town for a while, and the company has now officially confirmed its launch date as March 30. It is launching alongside the Vivo X300s, whose design has been officially revealed for the first time through a newly released teaser. The X300s serves as the successor to the Vivo X200s, which debuted back in December 2024. Both smartphones will make their debut in China.
Vivo's Product Manager Han Boxiao has revealed the first official look at the rear panels of both the X300 Ultra and the X300s, showcasing the devices in an elegant 'Film Green' colourway.
From the teaser, the Vivo X300s is seen sporting a circular camera island on the rear, housing a triple camera setup. Notably, Zeiss branding is visible on the module, confirming that the camera system will benefit from Zeiss tuning. The design also reveals a dual-tone finish on the back, with the Vivo logo positioned in the bottom-left corner, along with a flat metal frame that adds a premium touch. The power button and volume controls are placed on the right side of the device.
Vivo X300s specs and features
A few days back, Boxiao confirmed via Weibo that the X300s will be a larger and more refined version of the standard X300. The device will feature a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display built on BOE Q10+ screen technology, with support for a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and Circular Polarisation Light 2.0 technology for enhanced eye protection.
In terms of biometrics and connectivity, the X300s will pack an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a custom vibration motor, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 support. On the camera front, the device is confirmed to house a 200-megapixel primary rear sensor, while earlier leaks point to a triple camera setup that may also include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
Under the hood, the X300s is tipped to be driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC and is expected to carry an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Audio-wise, the smartphone will come equipped with dual symmetric 1115 speakers, along with a Super-sense Gaming Audio Zone feature that Vivo claims can boost in-game audio detail by up to 120 percent.
