The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed on X that its Verification and Re-evaluation Portal continues to witness heavy student activity, with more than 56,000 applications submitted as of 9:30 pm on June 3, 2026.
The applications include requests related to post-result services such as verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer scripts. The portal is currently being used by thousands of Class 12 students seeking a review of their board examination results.
CYBERATTACK ATTEMPT BLOCKED
In an important update, CBSE revealed that the portal was targeted by a large denial-of-service attack earlier in the day.
Such attacks are typically designed to overwhelm online systems with a massive volume of traffic and disrupt services for genuine users.
CBSE wrote, "This afternoon, a 3.8 Million packet Denial of service attack on the website was successfully thwarted."
TEAMS ON ROUND-THE-CLOCK WATCH
The board said its technical teams are continuously monitoring the platform to maintain stability and ensure a smooth experience for students.
CBSE added that performance improvements and refinements are being introduced proactively to make the portal faster, more reliable and easier to use during the ongoing post-result process.
The update comes at a time when thousands of students are using the online system to submit requests for verification and re-evaluation, making uninterrupted access crucial.
FOCUS ON STUDENT EXPERIENCE
CBSE said the portal remains operational and that efforts are underway to ensure a secure and student-friendly experience.
With application numbers continuing to rise, the board's latest update highlights both the scale of demand for post-result services and the technical measures being taken to keep the system running smoothly despite external challenges.
