BMW X6 M60i xDrive launched in India at Rs 1.78 crore with V8 engine

New BMW X6 M60i xDrive gets a 530bhp twin-turbo V8, 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds and a feature-packed luxury cabin.

BMW India has launched the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive in the country at an introductory price of Rs 1.78 crore (ex-showroom). The flagship SUV arrives in India as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and combines high-performance engineering with luxury, technology and aggressive styling.

At the heart of the new X6 M60i xDrive is a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The powertrain develops 530bhp and 750Nm of torque, enabling the performance SUV to accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds, while the electronically limited top speed stands at 250kmph.

The V8 engine is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters. Power is sent to all four wheels through BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system, complemented by an M Sport Differential, Adaptive M suspension, Integral Active Steering with rear-wheel steering, and M Sport brakes with red brake calipers. BMW says the setup has been tuned to deliver sharper handling, greater stability and improved traction across varying driving conditions.

Aggressive exterior with M styling

Visually, the new X6 M60i retains its distinctive coupe-SUV silhouette while incorporating BMW's latest design updates. Up front, it features slimmer Adaptive LED headlights with M Shadowline detailing, a black kidney grille with vertical double slats and an illuminated M logo, gloss black M exterior mirrors and M-specific side skirts.

At the rear, the SUV gets slim L-shaped LED tail lamps, trapezoidal quad exhaust outlets integrated into a redesigned bumper finished in Dark Shadow, and a gloss black rear spoiler as part of the M Sport Package Pro. The SUV rides on 21-inch M light-alloy wheels wrapped in run-flat tyres.

The M Sport Package Pro also adds M seat belts, a quad-pipe M Sport exhaust system and upgraded braking hardware as standard.

Digital and luxurious cabin

Inside, the BMW X6 M60i receives the brand's latest BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen housed beneath a single glass panel. The infotainment system runs the latest BMW Operating System 8.5, supporting touch and voice controls through the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The dashboard features Sensafin upholstery, high-gloss wood trim, an illuminated ambient light bar with M graphics and optional Crafted Clarity glass controls. Customers can also opt for an Alcantara M headliner for a more premium cabin ambience.

The standard comfort seats are electrically adjustable, ventilated and offer lumbar support along with memory for the driver's seat. An optional massage function provides eight massage programmes with three intensity levels. Audio duties are handled by a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system producing 464 watts, while soft-close doors are also offered.

Connected technology and driver assistance

BMW has equipped the X6 M60i with an extensive list of connected features under BMW ConnectedDrive. These include Digital Key Plus, My BMW App connectivity, remote services, real-time traffic information, emergency call and remote software updates.

The SUV also features BMW Live Cockpit Professional, head-up display, navigation, wireless smartphone integration and Learning Navigation that adapts to the driver's habits.

Parking duties are assisted by Parking Assistant Professional with a 360-degree surround-view camera, while the Reversing Assistant can automatically retrace the last 200 metres by controlling the steering.

Safety

Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, Cornering Brake Control, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, crash sensors, side-impact protection and an electronic vehicle immobiliser.

Colours and customisation

The new BMW X6 M60i is available in six exterior colours:

• Aventurine Red
• Manhattan Metallic
• Brooklyn Grey
• Black Sapphire
• Mineral White
• Isle of Man Green

Customers can choose from Silverstone, Tacora Red/Black, Black and Cognac Sensafin upholstery. BMW is also offering over 40 BMW Individual paint finishes and Merino leather upholstery options for buyers seeking further personalisation.

Finance options

BMW India Financial Services is offering the X6 M60i under its BMW SMART Finance programme, which includes an assured buyback of up to 60 per cent after three years or 10,000 km. Customers can also finance BMW Service Inclusive packages, extended warranty and BMW Secure Advance.
