Tata Sierra EV to launch today: Range, price, features and all you need to know

Ahead of the official debut, Tata Motors has already revealed the SUV's exterior through a series of teasers, offering a close look at its design while also confirming several key details, including the availability of a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.
Design
While the Sierra EV shares its overall silhouette with the upcoming internal combustion-engine Sierra, it gets several EV-specific styling elements. The front features a cleaner, closed-off fascia with revised detailing and distinctive electric vehicle accents, giving the SUV a more futuristic identity.
The Sierra EV retains the upright stance, large glasshouse and signature proportions that made the original Sierra a memorable name in the Indian automotive landscape.
Recent teaser videos have also highlighted the SUV's off-road credentials, with one showing it driving through desert terrain. A close-up of the tailgate revealed the 'QWD Dual Motor' badge, confirming that Tata will introduce its new Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) technology on the Sierra EV.
Platform, battery and expected range
The Sierra EV is expected to be based on Tata Motors' latest acti.ev+ architecture and is likely to share much of its mechanical package with the Harrier EV.
Battery options are expected to include 65kWh and 75kWh packs. The larger battery is likely to be offered on higher-spec dual-motor QWD variants, while entry-level versions are expected to feature a single electric motor driving one axle.
Although Tata Motors has not yet disclosed official performance figures, the Sierra EV is expected to offer stronger performance than the company's existing electric SUVs. Fast-charging capability, certified driving range and complete technical specifications are expected to be announced at the launch event.

The Sierra EV is expected to feature a premium, technology-focused cabin.

- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Expected price
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's electric SUV lineup.
