Redmi has already rolled out the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China in August this year. Now, the standard Redmi K100 is preparing to join them this month, October 28. The brand has already been teasing the device online to build enthusiasm, revealing its design and major specs. Just a few days before its official debut, the smartphone appears on Geekbench, adding more details to what has been known.
The Geekbench listing shows the upcoming device's performance with the Snapdragon chip, which the Chinese brand has already confirmed, carrying the model number Xiaomi M786BC. The Geekbench 7 scores are 2,705 in single-core and 9,885 in multi-core tests. It also points to 16GB of RAM and Android 17, although Redmi has confirmed that the device will run HyperOS 4.
The listing hinted that the Redmi K100 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, same as last year's Redmi K90. The chipset comes with two cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six at 3.53GHz, alongside an Adreno 830 GPU. To remind you, the flagship model Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max broke cover with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors. India launch of the standard K100 remains murky, like other models in the series, K100 Pro and Pro Max.
Redmi K100 confirmed details
Starting with the display, the company revealed it will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. Redmi says the high refresh rate works with over 40 games. The phone also features a dedicated D2 display chip to take care of additional gaming-related tasks.
Battery seems to be the central focus, as it's set to carry a massive 10,000mAh cell. At this point, the standard model crosses even the top-of-the-line variants — the Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max — both pack 8,580mAh and 9,070mAh batteries.
Moreover, the phone carries a 50-megapixel main camera and will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The device will be available in Firefly Green among other colours. In China, pre-orders are already open before the official event. Lastly, in terms of pricing, some reports suggest it could start at roughly Rs 3,500 yuan, which is around Rs 49,566 in India.
