DTC bus strike: Delhi Metro adds 20 train trips to manage extra crowd

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has increased train services across its network to manage the anticipated rise in passenger footfall amid the ongoing Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus strike.

DMRC ADDS 20 TRAIN TRIPS

To ease pressure on the Metro network, DMRC has increased the number of train trips by 20 across its network.

A total of eight additional trains were operated on September 16, as per operational requirements, to accommodate the increased number of passengers.

EIGHT EXTRA TRAINS ON SEPTEMBER 17

The enhanced arrangements will continue on September 17, with eight extra trains to be inducted and operated as required.

The additional services will be available between 8 am and 8 pm, with the number of trains operated depending on passenger demand and operational requirements.

The additional train services are aimed at accommodating the higher passenger footfall, particularly during peak hours.
