The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has opened applications for the High School Improvement and Compartment examinations as well as the Intermediate Compartment examination.

The online application process will start on June 6 and will continue until midnight on June 27.

The move is expected to benefit thousands of students who narrowly missed passing their examinations or wish to improve their performance. The board has said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that a single examination result does not become a barrier to a student's academic progress.

  • Students who failed in two subjects can appear for the Compartment Examination in one of those subjects.

WHAT ABOUT PRACTICAL EXAMS?

The UP Board has clarified that subjects involving theory, practicals or project work will be conducted according to existing examination rules.

Students who have failed only in a specific component of a subject, such as practical or project work, will be allowed to appear only for that component instead of the entire subject examination.

The dates for the written examinations, practicals and project assessments will be announced separately by the board.
