One woman was killed, and six others were injured after an out-of-control car ploughed into multiple vehicles before crashing into a roadside shop in Ahmedabad. The horrific accident was caught on CCTV.
The incident took place at around 9.40 pm on Monday, when the car suddenly lost control. CCTV footage showed the vehicle hitting an auto-rickshaw, three scooters and a motorcycle before crashing into a food stall.
According to preliminary information, the driver, identified as 40-year-old Mayank Patel, was travelling with his wife and child, may have lost control after suffering a seizure.
The exact reason behind the accident will be confirmed after a detailed investigation.
The impact of the collision was severe. The woman died on the spot, while several others injured in the crash were rushed to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for treatment.
Patel is also undergoing treatment.
