The summer placement process for the PGP-FABM (Post-Graduate Programme in Food & Agribusiness Management) at IIM Ahmedabad for the 2024-26 batch concluded successfully on November 15. The process was held in a hybrid mode, with all 47 students set to join their respective companies for summer internships from April to June 2025.
IIM Ahmedabad expressed in an official release that the successful completion of the placement process is a testament to the institute's rigorous academic environment and its robust placement framework, designed to offer flexibility to both students and recruiters.
COMPANIES AT IIM AHMEDABAD PLACEMENTS
This year's summer placements saw participation from over 39 companies across multiple sectors, such as Management Consulting, Finance & Commodity Trading, Agri-Inputs & Agri-Tech, Food Processing, ESG Consulting, FMCG retail, Food Supply Chain, and more.
Well-established companies like Accenture, Ernst & Young (EY), Godrej Agrovet, Nestlé, and AMUL continued their recruitment partnerships, while several new organisations showed strong interest, including Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Mapro, Husk Power Systems, and Avanti Finance.
POPULAR SECTORS WHERE STUDENTS WERE PLACED
The diverse range of sectors reflects the growing demand for skilled professionals in the food and agribusiness space. A total of six students were placed in Management Consulting and Finance & Trading roles, while seven students secured positions in ESG Consulting & Advisory.
The Agri-Inputs & Agri-Tech sector was particularly popular, with twelve students placed, and ten students being recruited by leading FMCG firms. Four students found roles in Manufacturing & Food Processing, while positions were also offered in the Alco-beverages sector and other specialised cohorts.
The placement process demonstrated the effectiveness of IIM Ahmedabad's PGP-FABM programme in preparing students for the complexities of the rapidly evolving food and agribusiness industries.
Through a combination of academic rigour, industry collaborations, and a diverse selection of companies, the placement cycle has successfully matched students with roles that align with their skills and aspirations.
