Suzuki Hayabusa gets a Special Edition, launched in India at Rs 19.90 lakh

Suzuki has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition in India at Rs 19.90 lakh, bringing exclusive styling elements alongside new colours and electronic updates to the flagship motorcycle.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition at Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), alongside updates to the standard Hayabusa, including new colour options and electronic refinements.

The Special Edition is offered exclusively in Pearl Vigor Blue and gets additional styling and finishing elements over the standard motorcycle. The updated Hayabusa is now available in three new colour combinations, while both versions receive rider-focused electronic updates.

Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: What's new?

The Hayabusa Special Edition gets special decals, a unique wheel finish and a 3D Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank. It also features a Special Edition emblem, anodised muffler-end and heat-guard components, and a single-seat cowl as standard.

The standard Hayabusa is now available in three new colour combinations: Candy Daring Red/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray/Candy Burnt Gold and Pearl Vigor Blue/Pearl Brilliant White.

The updated Hayabusa is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making the Special Edition Rs 91,000 more expensive than the standard motorcycle.

Hayabusa gets revised electronic features

Both the standard Hayabusa and Special Edition receive a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which is lighter and more compact than the previous unit and is claimed to offer more stable voltage under load.

Suzuki has also revised the settings of the Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector. The Smart Cruise Control system has been updated to remain active during gearshifts, allowing the rider to maintain the set speed without holding the throttle open.

The Hayabusa continues with rider-assistance systems including Motion Track Traction Control, a bi-directional quick-shifter, Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist and Slope Dependent Control.

Suzuki Hayabusa: 1,340cc four-cylinder engine

The Hayabusa continues to be powered by a 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline four-cylinder DOHC engine. Suzuki says the engine has been tuned to deliver a broad torque spread and strong acceleration.

The motorcycle also features an Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program, with Suzuki tuning the exhaust note to provide a stronger sound at start-up while maintaining comfort during regular riding.

The chassis comprises a twin-spar aluminium frame and swingarm, along with adjustable KYB inverted front forks. Braking hardware includes Brembo Stylema front callipers and twin 320mm full-floating discs, while the motorcycle rides on Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres.

Suzuki Hayabusa: Design and features

The Hayabusa's aerodynamic bodywork has undergone wind-tunnel testing, with Suzuki focusing on wind protection in both normal and fully tucked-in riding positions as well as high-speed stability.

Other features include LED lighting and the motorcycle's established suite of electronic rider aids. Suzuki Genuine Accessories and Hayabusa riding apparel are also available.

The Hayabusa Special Edition and updated standard Hayabusa are now available across Suzuki Motorcycle India's dealerships in the country.
