Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster introduced as brand's most powerful drop-top
Lamborghini has unveiled the Fenomeno Roadster, a limited-run 1080bhp V12 hybrid supercar that becomes the brand's most powerful open-top model ever, with only 15 cars planned globally.
by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodayAutomobili Lamborghini has pulled the covers off the all-new Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster, its latest ultra-exclusive creation and the most powerful open-top model ever produced by the brand. Unveiled at the second edition of the Lamborghini Arena in Imola, the new roadster will be limited to just 15 units globally and serves as the open-top counterpart to the Fenomeno Coupe revealed in 2025.
At the heart of the Fenomeno Roadster is Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) setup in an open two-seater format. Power comes from a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a combined output of 1080bhp. The electrified drivetrain includes two motors on the front axle and a third integrated with the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while a 7kWh lithium-ion battery enables short-distance electric-only driving.
Performance figures are suitably dramatic. Lamborghini claims the Fenomeno Roadster can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 2.4 seconds and from 0-200kmph in 6.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of over 340kph. The V12 alone develops 835bhp at 9,250rpm and 725Nm of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 ever developed by Lamborghini.
Unlike many convertibles that compromise aerodynamic efficiency, Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster has been extensively redesigned to deliver the same levels of downforce and stability as the coupe. A newly developed windshield-mounted carbon wing channels airflow over the cockpit and into the engine bay to ensure efficient cooling without the coupe’s roof-mounted scoop. The carmaker has also integrated slim carbon-fibre rollover protection structures behind the seats to minimise turbulence at high speeds.
Visually, the Fenomeno Roadster carries an aggressive and futuristic stance with Lamborghini’s signature hexagonal design language spread across the lighting elements, air intakes, wheel arches and exhaust surrounds. The ultra-low silhouette, sharply sculpted bodywork and elongated rear section draw inspiration from the track-focused Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 as well as 1970s endurance racing prototypes. At the rear, the centrally mounted hexagonal exhaust and active aerodynamic elements further highlight its race-bred character.
The launch car showcased a striking Blu Cepheus exterior finish contrasted by Rosso Mars accents. Lamborghini says the colour combination pays tribute to the 1968 Lamborghini Miura Roadster while also reflecting the traditional red and blue colours associated with Bologna.
Inside, the cabin follows Lamborghini’s ‘Feel Like a Pilot’ philosophy with aviation-inspired controls, exposed carbon fibre surfaces and extensive use of Corsatex and Carbon Skin materials. The cockpit features a triple-screen layout with digital instrumentation and a central infotainment display, while heavily bolstered sports seats with red contrast stitching are designed to support occupants during extreme cornering loads.
The Fenomeno Roadster is underpinned by a lightweight carbon-fibre monofuselage structure derived from the Lamborghini Revuelto. Lamborghini claims the roadster achieves stiffness levels close to the coupe despite the absence of a fixed roof, thanks to an advanced multi-technology carbon-fibre construction combining long and short fibre composites.
Braking duties are handled by CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes featuring motorsport-derived cooling technologies, while manually adjustable racing dampers allow owners to fine-tune ride height and suspension setup for both road and track driving. Custom-developed Bridgestone Potenza tyres, available in both road-focused and semi-slick configurations, have been specially engineered for the Fenomeno Roadster.
The new model continues Lamborghini’s lineage of ultra-exclusive Few-Off creations that began with the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster and later included icons such as the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, Lamborghini Centenario Roadster and Lamborghini Sin Roadster.
