- iPhone 18 Pro models could bring a smaller Dynamic Island and variable-aperture cameras
- New Apple TV, HomePod, iPad mini and M6 MacBook models are also reportedly in development
Apple may have accidentally revealed a long list of upcoming products through its latest software update. References found in the macOS 26.7 Release Candidate point to more than 10 devices that the company is reportedly preparing to launch, giving a glimpse of what could be coming in the next few weeks or so.
According to MacRumors, the software code includes references to products that Apple has not yet officially announced. These include a foldable iPhone, AirPods with infrared cameras, a new smart home hub, OLED versions of the MacBook and iPad mini, and an updated Siri Remote for a future Apple TV.
The timing is particularly interesting because Apple's biggest product event of the year is set for September. Here, the company is likely to introduce its new iPhone 18 lineup and Apple Watch models.
iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone likely to headline
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are among the products expected to arrive in September. Apple is also reportedly preparing a new iPhone Ultra, which could sit above the Pro Max in the lineup.
The iPhone 18 Pro is tipped to retain a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max could continue with a 6.9-inch screen. Apple may use a brighter and more power-efficient display, while the Dynamic Island could become around 35 per cent smaller.
Camera upgrades are also expected. The iPhone 18 Pro could introduce variable aperture technology, allowing the camera to control the amount of light reaching the sensor. The phones are also expected to use Apple's A20 chip, reportedly manufactured using TSMC's 2nm process.
However, Apple's first foldable iPhone could be the biggest attraction. After years of Android manufacturers experimenting with foldable phones, Apple is reportedly preparing its own entry into the category.
New AirPods, smart home devices and more
Apple could also introduce new AirPods featuring infrared cameras. The technology is reportedly being developed to support Visual Intelligence features, potentially allowing the earbuds to interact with their surroundings in new ways.
The company is also expected to expand its smart home lineup. Reports point to a new Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2, HomePod 3 and the company's long-rumoured HomePad smart home hub.
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are also expected at the September event, with upgrades likely focused on performance and health features rather than a major redesign.
Beyond September, Apple reportedly has several more products in development. These include an OLED iPad mini, M6-powered MacBook Pro models, refreshed iMacs and a high-end MacBook with an OLED touchscreen.
While some of these products could arrive later in the year or in early 2027, the macOS 26.7 code suggests Apple's product pipeline is much bigger than its upcoming iPhone launch. Apple has not confirmed the devices or a September launch date. But September 9 is currently being tipped as the likely date for its major iPhone event and the company is expected to make an official announcement soon.
