A man was killed and his wife and son were seriously injured after a speeding car rammed into their two-wheeler from behind in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The victim, a medical representative, was travelling on a motorcycle with his wife and son when a high-speed car hit the bike from behind, throwing all three onto the road in Medipally.

The car then ran over the man and the woman, while the child escaped being crushed under the wheels, though he also sustained injuries. The driver fled the scene with the vehicle.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area.

The medical representative suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The woman and the child were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Police are examining the CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved in the accident, and efforts are underway to trace the driver responsible for the crash.

Hyderabad police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
