Honda reports 5.42 lakh two-wheeler sales in July 2026, exports jump 35%

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India posted total sales of 5.42 lakh units in July 2026, driven by strong export demand that surged 35 per cent year-on-year, while domestic sales registered modest growth of 2 per cent.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 5,42,934 units in July 2026, registering a 5 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 5,15,378 units sold during the same month last year. The company attributed the steady performance to sustained demand in the domestic market and strong growth in exports.

Domestic sales stood at 4,76,436 units in July 2026, up 2 per cent from 4,66,331 units sold in July 2025. Exports, however, emerged as the biggest growth driver for the month, rising 35 per cent year-on-year to 66,498 units, compared to 49,047 units during the corresponding period last year.

The company also posted healthy growth in the first four months of FY2026-27. Between April and July 2026, HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 21,54,596 units, reflecting a 14 per cent increase over the 18,90,530 units sold during the same period in FY2025-26. Domestic dispatches for the period grew 11 per cent to 18,89,975 units, while exports climbed 35 per cent to 2,64,621 units.

According to the company, the two-wheeler market continued to witness steady demand during July. HMSI said its product portfolio and an extensive retail and service network of over 7,000 touchpoints across the country helped strengthen customer accessibility and support sales growth across markets.
