OnePlus has revealed the rollout timeline for ColorOS 17, its next-generation mobile operating system. The update will debut on the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4 on October 29, 2026, before reaching more smartphones and tablets in phases through early 2027. The new OS brings a redesigned interface, new AI features and performance improvements that aim to keep phones running smoothly for longer.

The rollout will happen in batches, and the actual availability may vary depending on the device model, region and carrier. The schedule indicates when the update is planned, not necessarily when every user will receive it.

What is new in ColorOS 17?

ColorOS 17 introduces a new Living Flow Design, with smoother animations, refreshed visuals and more responsive interactions. OnePlus claims the software can retain more than 90 per cent of its initial smoothness after six years of simulated use, even when storage is 90 per cent full.

The update also brings new AI tools. AI Mind Pilot can organise files and photos and create outputs such as travel itineraries. AI Photo Agent adds natural-language photo editing, while AI Mind Space organises saved documents and video links into searchable collections. AI Call Guard is designed to flag potential fraud risks, including synthetic voices and AI face swaps.

When the update becomes available for your device:
