Based on the Virtus GT Plus Sport variant, the special edition is priced at Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in limited numbers across the country.
The highlight of the Anniversary Edition is the introduction of a new Avocado Pearl exterior paint finish, paired with a contrasting black roof and black alloy wheels, giving the sedan a more distinctive and sportier appearance.
Apart from the cosmetic updates, the Virtus Anniversary Edition retains the GT Plus Sport's feature list, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system, electric sunroof, Laser Red ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM).
On the safety front, the sedan continues to offer six airbags as standard, along with more than 40 safety features. The Virtus also carries a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating.
Powering the anniversary edition is Volkswagen's 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine, which produces 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Volkswagen is also offering buyers the option to equip their Virtus or Taigun with additional genuine accessories through dealerships. These include a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, and puddle lamps.
The Virtus has been on sale in India since June 2022 and has become Volkswagen's flagship sedan in the country. With the Anniversary Edition, the automaker aims to add exclusivity to the model while celebrating its four-year journey in the Indian market.
The Volkswagen Virtus Anniversary Edition is available in limited volumes at dealerships nationwide at an introductory price of Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
