Panic gripped a locality in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar city after a young child accidentally got locked inside a car when the vehicle's doors shut from the inside, triggering anxious moments for family members and bystanders.

The incident took place in the Tehsil area of the city when the child's father was on his way to drop him at school. According to reports, the father stopped near a stationery shop to buy some items and briefly stepped out of the vehicle, leaving the child seated in the driver's seat. The car key was reportedly left inside the vehicle.

While his father was away, the child accidentally locked the car from the inside. When the father returned and tried to open the door, he realised the vehicle had been locked and the child was trapped inside.

Alarmed by the situation, the father sought help from people nearby. Within minutes, a crowd gathered around the car as concerned residents tried to assist in rescuing the child.

People approached the vehicle and attempted to guide the child into unlocking the door from inside. However, the youngster was unable to understand the instructions and began to panic, making the rescue more difficult.

As time passed, anxiety grew among family members and onlookers. Residents continued to reassure the child while simultaneously searching for a safe way to open the vehicle without causing harm.

After several attempts and careful efforts, locals managed to unlock the car door and safely bring the child out. No injuries were reported.

The child's father and those present at the scene heaved a sigh of relief after the successful rescue. What had briefly turned into a tense and chaotic situation returned to normal once the child was safely out of the vehicle.

The incident has once again highlighted the risks of leaving children unattended inside vehicles, even for a short period. Authorities and safety experts often advise drivers to ensure keys are not left inside parked vehicles and to avoid leaving young children alone in cars under any circumstances.
