Foldable smartphones are slowly becoming the next big trend in the smartphone space. Apple's foldable iPhone is already a hot topic, Samsung has recently restocked the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US and now, after launching its flagship X300 Ultra and X300s models, Vivo is said to be working on the Vivo X Fold 6. The device will arrive as the successor to last year's Vivo X Fold 5. Meanwhile, a fresh leak on the Chinese social media platform Weibo has revealed some key specifications of the upcoming foldable phone. Here are the details.
Vivo X Fold 6: Specs and features (leaked)
According to known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 6 is said to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera. While the leak does not specify the exact sensor, it is likely that Vivo will use the same one seen in the Vivo X300 series.
The upcoming foldable is also tipped to pack a battery rated at 6,760mAh, with a typical capacity of around 7,000mAh.The smartphone could feature a dual-battery setup rated at 3,915mAh and 2,845mAh. If the rumours turn out to be true, the Vivo X Fold 6 could offer one of the largest batteries in the foldable smartphone segment.
In terms of the camera, the Vivo X Fold 6 is claimed to sport a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a focusing support of around 15cm. As of now, the details of other sensors are still under wraps.
Since this is a flagship foldable, it is likely to draw power from Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. As with many of Vivo's flagship releases, the smartphone is likely to debut in China before making its way to global markets. For context, the Vivo X Fold 5 was announced in China in June 2025 and it later came to India in July.
The Vivo X Fold 5 is already a good foldable phone and it would be interesting to see what improvements its successor is able to offer. For your reference, the X Fold 5 sports a large 8.03-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It is complemented by a 6.53-inch cover display that offers support for similar refresh rate and brightness levels.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. For photography, the device packs a triple rear camera setup, including three 50MP sensors for wide, periscope telephoto (3x optical zoom), and ultrawide shots, along with dual 20MP front cameras on both the inner and cover displays. The smartphone houses a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless charging, along with reverse charging capabilities. Other notable features include IP58/IP59+ dust and water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
