Nothing is gearing up to unveil the Phone 4b on July 7, a budget-friendly addition to its smartphone lineup. And the company has now confirmed something unexpected that, alongside it, a special edition of the device is also coming, developed in partnership with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricket team. As Nothing is a sponsor of RCB, the collaboration isn't entirely surprising, but it does make the Phone 4b launch a little more interesting.

The RCB Edition appears to come in a red finish, based on an Instagram post where RCB players were shown two design options and asked to pick one. While the final choice hasn't been officially confirmed, the players seemed to lean toward the red variant. That would join the black, white, and blue colourways that were already leaked a few days ago.

The Phone 4b also marks the debut of Nothing's new 'b' series, which is positioned as a more affordable entry point into the Nothing ecosystem. Nothing has already opened registrations for the phone on its official website, and the device is expected to make its global debut alongside its India launch at the July 7 event at 4 pm IST.

Nothing Phone 4b Specs

On the hardware side, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 4b will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, though the company hasn't named the exact chip yet. Leaks and a recent Geekbench listing point to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which should bring improvements in everyday performance, battery efficiency, and on-device AI processing compared to previous mid-range chips.

The phone is expected to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

On the camera front, it is tipped to carry a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, while a 16-megapixel front camera handles selfies. The device is also expected to ship with Android 16-based Nothing OS out of the box, which would make it one of the first phones to launch with Google's latest operating system.

Battery capacity in the new article differs slightly from earlier leaks, with tipster Yogesh Brar suggesting a 5,400mAh cell.

As for pricing, the Phone 4b is expected to come in under the Phone (4a), which starts at Rs. 37,999, with reports pointing to a price of around Rs. 30,000. Nothing will confirm all details at the July 7 launch event.
