Ferrari has brought its Universo Ferrari exhibition to India for the first time, opening the immersive showcase in New Delhi on October 17. Open to the public until November 1, the exhibition brings together the Italian marque’s sports cars, motorsport heritage, personalisation programmes and future technology projects.

The event also marks Ferrari’s plans to expand its retail presence in India, with two new dealerships scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The company will partner with KUN Group to establish a dealership in Chennai and Infinity Group to expand into Ahmedabad.

Ferrari said the expansion is part of its long-term commitment to India, with a focus on building closer relationships with customers and enthusiasts while maintaining its emphasis on exclusivity and personalised service.

Universo Ferrari showcases cars, racing heritage

Inaugurated by Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, Universo Ferrari offers visitors an overview of the brand’s activities, spanning road cars, racing, heritage and personalisation. The exhibition features the SF-26 Formula 1 car, the Le Mans-winning 499P and the 296 GT3, alongside the 296 Challenge race car.

The road car display includes the 849 Testarossa Spider, 12Cilindri Spider, Amalfi Spider and F80 supercar. Visitors can also explore the Ferrari Luce through a dedicated display highlighting the ideas, technology and craftsmanship behind the project.

Other exhibits include the Daytona SP3, its 840cv V12 engine, and a Tailor Made 12Cilindri Manuale. The Ferrari Classiche section features the F50 and 365 GTB4, along with a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti that participated in the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour.

The 612 Scaglietti covered part of a 13,000km journey across India, driven by more than 50 international journalists. The tour helped introduce the country's landscapes and landmarks to audiences abroad.

The exhibition also features Ferrari Hypersail, the company's sailing project, which extends its focus on performance and technological development beyond cars and circuit racing.

Tailor Made India project celebrates local culture

A key part of Universo Ferrari is the Tailor Made India project, developed with students from the National Institute of Design (NID). The initiative saw students explore the identities of 10 Indian cities and develop concepts that Ferrari Design subsequently translated into digital vehicle configurations.

The project features five configurations each of the Ferrari 12Cilindri and Purosangue, drawing inspiration from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Goa. The designs use colours, materials and patterns to reflect the character and cultural diversity of each city.

Ferrari also invited around 1,000 students to participate in seminars and exchanges covering leadership, innovation, technology, product development, design and entrepreneurship. The programme was intended to give young people an opportunity to interact with company leaders and experts.

Charity auction supports children's education

As part of the event, Ferrari and Avelon Luxe organised a charity auction featuring 10 lots. The proceeds will support educational initiatives undertaken by Save the Children and Bal Raksha Bharat in India, including school readiness, foundational learning, teaching resources and classroom development.

Avelon Luxe has also joined Ferrari as its India-based partner for the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series, strengthening its association with the brand's motorsport activities.

Adding to the event, 25 Ferraris travelled approximately 1,800km from Mumbai to New Delhi, passing through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra. The drive brought together Ferrari owners and enthusiasts ahead of the exhibition.

Tickets for Universo Ferrari India, running until November 1, are available through District.
