The device arrives just days after Xiaomi began teasing key features of the phone, revealing details about its camera capabilities, display technology and performance hardware. The Xiaomi 17T is positioned as a photography-focused smartphone, with Xiaomi once again partnering with Leica for the imaging experience. The company is showing telephoto photography as one of the major attractions of the handset, alongside AI-powered features and long battery life. Xiaomi 17T: India Price, sale date, launch offers revealed

In India, the Xiaomi 17T starts at Rs 59,999 for the 256GB storage variant, while the 512GB model is priced at Rs 64,999. Xiaomi is also offering an instant discount of Rs 5,000 on select bank cards, reducing the effective starting price to Rs 54,999. The first sale will take place on June 30. Interested consumers will also see a buyback program, which will let you purchase the phone at almost half the price.

One of the key selling points of the Xiaomi 17T is its Leica-enhanced camera experience. Xiaomi says the phone supports Leica 5x telephoto photography and offers focal length options ranging from 23mm to 115mm. Users also get access to features such as Leica Live Moment, Leica Live Portrait and Leica telemacro photography, aimed at helping users capture portraits, close-up shots and zoomed images with greater flexibility.

Buyers will see a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with the Light Fusion 800 sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel Leica periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device features a 32-megapixel front camera.

On the performance front, the Xiaomi 17T is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset.
