Mini has expanded its portfolio in India with the launch of the Cooper S Convertible JCW Pack, priced at Rs 61.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as a limited-run model, the new variant commands a premium of Rs 2.50 lakh over the standard Cooper S Convertible and is being brought in as a completely built unit (CBU). Bookings for the model opened on April 14, with deliveries already in progress.

Based on the Cooper S Convertible, the JCW Pack focuses primarily on enhancing visual appeal and sporty character, without any changes to the mechanical setup. It continues to feature the brand’s signature soft-top roof, which can be electrically opened in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30kmph, while closing takes 15 seconds. The roof can also be partially opened, functioning like a sunroof.

Practicality remains limited, as expected from a compact convertible. Boot space stands at 160 litres with the roof folded, increasing to 215 litres when the roof is up.

On the outside, the JCW Pack introduces a more aggressive design language with updates to the grille, bumpers, side skirts and door sills. It rides on 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke Black alloy wheels and is offered in colour options such as Legend Grey and Midnight Black, complemented by contrasting black elements and optional sport stripes.

Inside, the cabin reflects the sporty theme with JCW-specific sport seats finished in Vescin/Cord upholstery, along with a JCW steering wheel equipped with paddle shifters. The dashboard follows a minimalist layout, centred around a circular OLED touchscreen that integrates both infotainment and instrumentation, powered by Mini Operating System 9.

Feature highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon audio system, and Digital Key Plus functionality.

Powering the Convertible JCW Pack is a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, delivering 201bhp and 300Nm of torque. This allows the car to sprint from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed 6.9 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 237kmph.

In terms of safety, the model is equipped with Level 1 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including front collision warning, lane departure warning and attentiveness assist. Standard safety kit also includes multiple airbags, ABS with dynamic stability control, a rear-view camera and parking assist.
