Today marks the final day to register for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 and the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2025, organised by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
Aspiring candidates interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate design programs at premier institutions, including various IITs, are urged to submit their applications on the official website by the end of the day.
This deadline applies to regular registrations, with an extended period available, with an additional fee until November 8, 2024, at 5 pm.

UCEED, CEED 2025 APPLICATION FEES
The application fee structure is designed to accommodate various candidates:
- General category candidates: Rs 4,000
- Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates: Rs 2,000
UCEED, CEED 2025 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For UCEED 2025, candidates must have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or be scheduled to take the exam in 2025 in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities) for the first time.
CEED applicants must meet specific educational qualifications for Master of Design (MDes) or PhD programme eligibility, as specified by individual institutes.
UCEED, CEED 2025 ADMISSION PROCESS
UCEED, aimed at admissions to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes, is widely accepted by top design institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur, along with several private institutions that recognise UCEED scores for BDes admissions.
However, qualifying for UCEED does not automatically guarantee admission; candidates must complete a separate application process for specific programmes according to each institution’s criteria.
CEED candidates, on the other hand, may apply for MDes and PhD programs, with the CEED score valid for a year from the result declaration date.
UCEED, CEED 2025 EXAM FORMAT
The UCEED 2025 exam is a three-hour assessment divided into two parts:
- Part A: Computer-based questions
- Part B: Sketching questions to be completed on provided sheets
Candidates are required to complete both parts within the allotted time to qualify for further admissions processes.
