Samsung Galaxy A27 5G launched with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 6-year software support

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A27 5G in India, adding another device to its A-series. Instead of A-series conventional waterdrop camera notch, the new smartphone carries a punch-hole camera, giving a premium appearance. The smartphone will go on sale on July 3.

Samsung rolls out the Galaxy A27 5G in India, expanding its A series lineup. This is a mid-range smartphone that succeeds the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G, launched last year. The smartphone comes in multiple colour options and promises six years of Android OS updates. The company has yet to reveal the device's price, but we know the smartphone will go on sale on July 3.

In terms of design, one notable change is visible on the front side. Unlike other A-series lineups, which feature a waterdrop camera notch, the new smartphone carries a punch-hole camera.

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G specs and features

The Samsung Galaxy A27 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making everything from scrolling through social media to watching videos feel more fluid.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process. The processor is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, giving users enough room for apps, games, and files. The storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.

For photography, the Galaxy A27 comes with a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS for sharper shots, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera for capturing wider scenes, and a 2-megapixel macro lens for close-up photos. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and selfies.

Keeping everything running is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

Beyond the core hardware, the Galaxy A27 5G also comes with several smart features. It runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box and is promised to receive six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates. The phone also includes Samsung Knox Vault for added security, an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, and AI tools such as Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and Voice Transcription.

Users also get a choice of AI assistants, including Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby, making the Galaxy A27 5G a more future-ready device in the A-series lineup.

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G price and availability

As the Indian price of the device remains a mystery, we know the smartphone starts in the US at $349.99 wihch is roughly Rs 33,089. It will go on sale starting on 14th July. It will arrive in four colourways: Black, Blue, Light Green and Light Pink.
