The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the admit cards for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination today. Candidates appearing for the re-test on June 21 will be able to download their hall tickets from the official NTA NEET website once the link is activated.

Based on feedback received from candidates in previous years, the NTA has set the duration of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination at 195 minutes. The exam will be conducted on June 21 between 2 pm and 5:15 pm.

The re-examination has been scheduled after the original test held on May 3 was cancelled due to alleged paper leaks and other examination-related irregularities.

With enhanced security arrangements and strict monitoring mechanisms in place, authorities are aiming to ensure a fair, transparent, and smooth conduct of the examination.

According to official figures, around 22.75 lakh candidates registered for NEET UG 2026, while more than 22.05 lakh students appeared for the exam conducted in May.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD NEET UG RE-EXAM ADMIT CARD?

Candidates can download their NEET UG 2026 re-exam admit card by visiting the official NTA NEET website and clicking on the admit card download link available on the homepage. They will be required to log in using their application number, date of birth, and security pin.

After submitting the details, the admit card will be displayed on the screen. Candidates should carefully verify all the information mentioned on the hall ticket, including their name, application number, exam centre details, and reporting time.

After checking the details, they should download and print a copy of the admit card for use on the examination day. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre.

In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the National Testing Agency (NTA) for correction.

Once released, candidates can access their admit cards through the official NTA NEET portal.

CITY INTIMATION SLIP ALREADY RELEASED

Ahead of the re-examination, NTA issued the city intimation slip on June 7, 2026. The slip allows candidates to know the city where their examination centre is located, helping them make travel and accommodation arrangements in advance.

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE?

The government has significantly strengthened security protocols for the re-examination.

Cabinet Secretary T V Somanathan has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt or compromise the examination process. He emphasised that offenders would face the full force of the law.

In another major move, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been tasked with transporting NEET question papers for the June 21 examination. The measure aims to ensure secure handling and prevent any possibility of tampering during transit.

Additionally, all personal digital devices, including smartphones, laptops, and smartwatches, have been prohibited inside the secure facility where question papers are prepared. Internet connectivity has also been completely disabled at the facility until the examination concludes.

FAKE NEET QUESTION PAPER PATTERN NOTICE GOES VIRAL

Recently, a purported confidential document claiming to reveal the question paper pattern for the upcoming NEET UG re-exam circulated widely on social media.

The document, allegedly dated May 27 and addressed to the NTA's preparation and moderation panel, suggested that the fresh examination would follow a new pattern independent of previous papers and review materials.

However, NTA has categorically denied issuing any such notification and clarified that the document is fake. Candidates have been advised to ignore unverified information and rely only on updates published through official NTA channels.

WHY IS THE NEET UG RE-EXAM BEING CONDUCTED?

The original NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3. Following allegations of paper leaks and examination-related irregularities, authorities decided to cancel the test and order a re-examination.

The matter is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

WHAT IS THE NEET UG MARKING SCHEME?

Candidates appearing for the re-examination should keep the official marking scheme in mind:

  • Correct answer: +4 marks
  • Incorrect answer: -1 mark
  • Unanswered question: 0 marks

Understanding the marking pattern is crucial for effective exam strategy and avoiding unnecessary negative marking.

With the NEET UG 2026 re-examination just days away, candidates should stay focused on their preparation and avoid falling for rumours or fake notices circulating online.

As NTA prepares to release the admit cards and authorities enforce unprecedented security measures, students are advised to regularly check official channels for updates and ensure they are fully prepared for the June 21 exam.
