Moving bus catches fire in Greater Noida, several passengers trapped inside

A sleeper bus carrying around 40-50 passengers caught fire while moving on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. Passengers jumped from the bus to escape as flames engulfed it.

A massive fire broke out in a moving sleeper bus on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida, triggering panic among passengers, with some of them feared to be trapped inside.

Around 40-50 people were travelling on the bus when it caught fire. As soon as the fire broke out, passengers jumped out of the moving bus to save their lives. Panic spread among those on board as the flames quickly engulfed the entire bus.

Following the incident, a fire department team reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. The team is currently carrying out a cool-down operation.

Police said the bus will be searched only after the process is completed. Police further added that there is a possibility that some people may still be trapped inside the bus.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the road accident in Greater Noida and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. He directed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured.

According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Yogi Adityanath also spoke to the families of the deceased and directed officials to provide all possible assistance. He wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
