The Harley-Davidson X440 T feels like the motorcycle the original X440 always wanted to be. The biggest highlight of the bike is its comfort. The riding triangle feels natural, the seat is accommodating for long rides, and the rear suspension setup is impressively plush. In fact, it is so soft that at times the motorcycle can feel slightly unsettled over high-speed undulations. The 440cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled motor, producing 27.37bhp and 38Nm, is another strong point. Below 2,000 RPM, the engine feels a little lazy, but once past that mark, the mid-range torque kicks in beautifully.
Visually, the X440 T finally carries a stronger Harley-Davidson identity. The redesigned tail section, bar-end mirrors, and cleaner cockpit make it look more muscular and premium. The addition of ride-by-wire throttle also introduces Road and Rain modes, along with switchable traction control and ABS for better rider control. On the whole, my initial impressions are largely positive, especially in terms of ride quality, midrange performance, and overall road presence. We’ll be spending the next few months with the latest iteration of the X440 and putting it through the paces. Honestly, it’s cool to have a Harley-Davidson in the fleet, and everyone’s gunning (no pun intended) to get the keys. So apart from the testing, I’m also devising clever ways to keep the X440 T in my possession. Wish me luck!
