Vivo launches X300 E and T5e phones: Specs, prices and other details

Vivo has recently launched two new smartphones for different markets. The Vivo X300 E debuts in China with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and Zeiss cameras, while in India, the brand launched the budget Vivo T5e with a 5,500mAh battery and Android 16.

Vivo introduced two smartphones, but for two very different markets. One is in China, expanding its flagship X300 lineup with the launch of the new vivo X300 E. Another is in India, where the brand rolls out the more budget-focused Vivo T5e. The Vivo X300 E becomes the sixth smartphone in the X300 series, joining the Vivo X300, X300 Pro, X300s, X300 FE and X300 Ultra. Interestingly, unlike its siblings that feature a large circular camera module, the X300 E adopts a fresh design with a square-shaped camera island.

Vivo X300 E specs and features

The Vivo X300 E ships with a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. It also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box.

For photography, the phone comes with a Zeiss-backed triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. On the front, it features a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 selfie camera with autofocus.

Keeping the lights on, a large 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging. For durability, the smartphone carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of design, the X300 E stands apart from the rest of the X300 family. Instead of the signature circular camera module seen on the X300, X300 Pro, X300s, and X300 Ultra, the new phone features a square-shaped camera island.

It is available in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Sunlight Orange colour options.

Vivo T5e specs and features

In India, Vivo has launched the T5e as an affordable smartphone. It features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The smartphone is powered by the UNISOC T7225 octa-core processor and comes with 4GB of RAM, along with support for up to 4GB of Extended RAM.

The smartphone carries a 5,500mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging and reverse charging. The cell is rated to retain battery health for up to four years. Vivo claims the battery can deliver up to 18 hours of online video playback, 47 hours of music playback, 13.5 hours of social media usage, and up to 28 hours of voice calls.

In terms of durability, the T5e comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, Military-Grade durability certification, Wet-Hand and Greasy-Hand Touch support. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For photography, the phone offers an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Price and availability

The Vivo T5e is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant in India. It is already on sale through the vivo India online store, Flipkart, and authorised retail outlets.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X300 E starts at CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 67,933) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 75,011).
