Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025: Skoda to showcase 8 models, focus on Kylaq

The Kylaq is expected to be the highlight of Skoda's lineup at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Skoda Auto India is set to showcase its lineup at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled from January 17 to 22 in New Delhi. Skoda's pavilion at the event will display a collection of eight models, featuring both Indian and global models.

The Czech carmaker's lineup will include the company's first sub-4 metre SUV, the Kylaq. Other modes that will be showcased are Skoda Kushaq, Kodiaq, Superb, Octavia vRS, Elroq, and the concept of Vision 7S.

Skoda's current lineup in the country consists of the Kodiaq, Kushaq, Slavia and the Kylaq. The Kylaq is expected to grab attention at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

The company opened bookings for the Kylaq on December 2. Deliveries of the Kylaq will commence from January 27. In just 10 days since Skoda opened bookings, the Kylaq garnered more than 10,000 bookings. The Kylaq rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Powering the Kylaq is Skoda's 1.0-litre TSI engine, delivering115 bhp and 178Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter. According to Skoda, the Kylaq can achieve a top speed of 188 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds with the manual transmission.

The Kylaqs interior features touch-operated climate controls, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch central infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The compact SUV also gets six-way electrically adjustable and ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger.

The Kylaq is equipped with a single-pane sunroof, keyless entry, wireless smartphone charging and connectivity, and a cooled glove box. Higher trims offer features like cruise control and steering-mounted paddle shifters for the automatic transmission. The Kylaq also boasts leatherette seats and is available in both single-tone and dual-tone interior options.
