  • Google Play Store now features a Shop devices tab to browse and buy smartphones directly
  • The section currently lists Google Pixel devices and select Samsung Galaxy models in India
  • Tapping on a product redirects users to the official Google Store for secure checkout

Google is making it easier for users to buy its hardware products. The Google Play Store is no longer just a place to download apps and games. Google has silently added a new 'Shop devices' option in the Play Store app. This new feature allows users in select regions, including India, to discover and buy hardware products like smartphones and smartwatches directly from their Android phones.

How to find the 'Shop devices' feature

To find this new shopping section, you just need to open the Google Play Store on your smartphone and tap on your profile picture located in the top right corner. In the account menu, you will see the new "Shop devices" option.

When you tap on this option, the app takes you directly to the official Google Store website. From there, you can view product details, select your preferred model, and make the payment safely.

Which Google Pixel devices can you buy?

Currently, the "Shop devices" section in India features a range of Google products. Users can find the latest Pixel 11, the premium Pixel 11 Pro, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. For those looking for a budget-friendly option, the Pixel 10a is also listed.

Alongside smartphones, accessories like the Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are available to purchase. The Pixel 11 is available with a starting price of Rs 89,999, while the more affordable Pixel 10a is priced at Rs 55,999. The top-end Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at Rs 1,86,999.

Interestingly, Google is not just selling its own devices through this new section. According to user reports on X, select Samsung products, such as the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the standard Galaxy S26, are also showing up under the 'Shop devices' option in some global markets.

Are there any special discounts?

If you are hoping for special offers, you might be disappointed. At present, this feature does not offer any exclusive discounts or cashback deals. All the Google and Samsung products are listed at their standard, regular prices.

While Google's official support page confirms that users can shop for eligible Google and Samsung hardware from the Play Store, the company has not officially announced any plans to expand this store section further.
