by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodaySkoda Auto has offered the first official glimpse of its upcoming flagship electric SUV, the Peaq, through a series of exterior design sketches ahead of its global premiere later this month. The seven-seater electric SUV will make its world debut in Monnetier-Mornex, France, on June 23, 2026.
The newly released sketches showcase the Peaq's bold yet minimalist styling, which has been developed in line with Skoda's Modern Solid design philosophy. The SUV features clean surfaces, sharp character lines and distinctive lighting signatures aimed at giving it a strong road presence while maintaining a contemporary and timeless appearance.
At the front, the Peaq adopts a striking fascia highlighted by slim T-shaped LED headlights, a gloss-black face and a connecting light element that creates a unique loop-shaped visual signature. The front bumper features a pronounced Volcano-inspired design with strong horizontal elements that further emphasise the SUV's width and stance.
From the side, the Peaq's proportions are defined by a high shoulder line, wide D-pillars and sculpted body panels, underlining its SUV credentials. Flush-fitting door handles integrated into the bodywork contribute to a cleaner aerodynamic profile.
The rear design mirrors the front-end theme, incorporating T-shaped tail-lamps linked by a connecting element that recreates the signature loop motif. This distinctive lighting arrangement is expected to serve as a key visual identifier for Skoda's next-generation electric vehicles.
According to Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Skoda Auto, the Peaq combines balanced proportions, precisely sculpted surfaces and signature design elements to express the brand's identity in the electric era. He noted that features such as the T-shaped lighting elements and Tech-Deck Face play a central role in establishing the SUV's character.
Positioned as Skoda's flagship electric SUV, the Peaq is expected to become one of the largest battery-electric models in the brand's portfolio and will offer three-row seating for up to seven occupants. More details regarding its specifications, powertrain and technology package will be revealed during its official unveiling on June 23.
