Former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit Visits KIIT and KISS, Delivers Special Lecture at KIIT Law School

Bhubaneswar, October 31: Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice Uday Umesh Lalit visited the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

During his visit, Justice Lalit toured various campuses of KIIT and different units of KISS. He familiarised himself with the institutions’ initiatives and contributions in the fields of education and social service.

As part of his visit, the former CJI delivered a special lecture to the students and faculty members of KIIT Law School.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Lalit highlighted various aspects of the Indian Constitution and shared his extensive knowledge, experience and insights gained during his distinguished career in the legal and judicial fields.

He discussed important constitutional principles and offered valuable perspectives on law and the functioning of the judicial system.

His interaction provided an opportunity for law students and faculty members to gain a deeper understanding of constitutional values and legal principles from his vast judicial experience.

The special lecture and subsequent interaction were described as highly informative and inspiring, offering fresh perspectives to aspiring legal professionals.

On the occasion, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta welcomed Justice Lalit and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for taking time to interact with the students and faculty members of KIIT Law School.

Dr Samanta said that Justice Lalit’s extensive knowledge, judicial experience, guidance and insights would be immensely beneficial to the law students and faculty members.

He also appreciated the former Chief Justice’s contribution to the academic interaction, which provided students with an opportunity to learn from one of the country’s distinguished legal personalities.
