Car accident in Umerkote, family reaches hospital with cut hand of woman!

Umerkote: In a tragic incident, a car accident in Umerkote of Koraput district in Odisha led to a woman’s hand being cut off, said reports on Monday.

According to reports, a car allegedly lost control and met with an accident in Umerkote. The impact of the accident was so severe that the hand of a woman sitting in the car was cut off. The family however was fast to act, they rushed to the hospital with the hand.

Such an incident took place near Jodanga Bazar in Raigarh Block of Koraput. The woman who was hurt has been identified as Meena Thakur of Gariyaband in Chhattisgarh. She was travelling to her in-laws house in Umerkote for the diwali vacations.

She works as a teacher in Hirapur village, said reports.  It seems that the couple lost control over the vehicle and hit a tree on the side of the road while passing through Raighar in Gariband.

After that, Meena’s brother-in-law Leela Ram Thakur and a four-year-old child who were there in the car were immediately taken by the locals to Jodanga Primary Health Center (PHC) and after treatment were sent to Raipur Ram Krishna Medical Center. Meena is said to be in critical condition as her right hand was cut off.

It is worth mentioning that the cut part of the hand of the woman was taken to the hospital and treatment was sought at the earliest. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
