Cyclone Dana getting closer, 200 km away from Paradeep of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Cyclone Dana is getting closer to land. The cyclone is getting strong in the sea and is approaching towards the land. The cyclone is moving forward in the north-northwest direction at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour.

The cyclone is getting closer to land. Now it is 200 km away from Paradeep of Odisha. The storm is 240 km from Dhamra and 310 km from Sagar Island.

It will make landfall between tonight and tomorrow morning between Puri and Sagar Island. Landfall is estimated between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra.

At the time of landfall, the wind speed will be 100 to 110 kmph gusting to 120 kmph. The speed of gusty winds can reach 120 km.

Due to the effect of the cylone there is heavy rain and wind in Dhamra. Heavy rain and wind in Kendrapara too.

Coastal districts to be affected continue to receive rain. 3 districts will be affected by the storm — Bhadrak, Balasore and Kendrapara.

High tides have been witnessed in the sea as it turn turbulent. The Meteorological Department has estimated that the tide will be 1 to 2 meters high. It is expected that kuccha houses will be damaged. Even the asbestos roof will be blown away by the wind during the landfall.
