Major search operation continues for missing trekker in Uttarkashi

New Delhi: Teams of police, NDRF, SDRF, ITBP, Forest department, and local rescue teams have been involved in the search.
Search parties have been combing the jungles, trekking routes, valleys, and areas around Goi for the missing woman.
According to the officials, both ground and aerial searches are underway since her missing complaint has been lodged; however, so far, the woman has not been found.
Search teams have even deployed helicopters and drones to search the difficult terrain of the mountainous regions.

The police team has detained and are questioning the two trekkers accompanying Babita to trace her down, and a number of inquiries are also being conducted to solve the mystery of the woman’s sudden disappearance.
Authorities also added that the investigation is currently focused on acquiring as much information as possible. The popular trekking region Dayara Bugyal is located at more than 10,000 feet and is one of the famous tourist destinations in the Uttarakhand region.
However, the trekking route is one of the challenging ones due to the dense jungles, steep climbs, uneven terrains, and volatile climate, making the search and rescue operation more complicated and difficult.
