New Delhi: People’s joy knew no bound as they welcomed the Happy New Year 2026 amid vibrant celebrations, spectacular fireworks displays and dancing to their favourite dance numbers across the country wishing each other a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.

People as per their convenience had gathered at different places, like hotels, pubs, clubs and the like for the Zero Night celebrations, which also allows them to reflect on the year 2025 that has passed, acknowledge its challenges and triumphs, and look forward to fresh starts and new opportunities in the year ahead.

Some countries like New Zealand, Sydney, and South Korea were the first to welcome the New Year 2026.
