Honey-Trap, radicalisation angles emerge in Jaipur woman’s probe

New Delhi: Rajasthan (ATS) has retrieved crucial information in its ongoing probe related to Babita Dhakad, with alleged ties to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
According to reports, Babita is accused of maintaining ties with her Pakistan-based handlers for around two years, the investigators said.
Special efforts are underway to analyse all digital inputs related to Dhakad, such as social media, chats, and communication records, to understand her level of engagement.
Investigators are in the process of establishing possible links to honey-trapping and recruitment following the input in which she has reportedly used social media for approaching intelligence personnel, besides being involved in influencing women.

It is also understood from the inputs that her activities have shown links to searches for extremist material, plots involving encrypted communication, and other activities involving crypto.
Forensic teams also said that efforts are being made to reconstruct and bring in for analysis deleted inputs from her computer or other gadgets of hers for evidence.
An ATS source also said that till not enough corroborative evidence is produced, any allegation will not be officially verified.
