Apple iPhone 18 Pro series users have reportedly brought a discoloration issue. The same issue was observed in the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max users last year just after a couple of weeks following it’s launch.
The hero Cosmic Orange color and Deep Blue shade of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max reportedly fade after use. Now, the iPhone 18 Pro series users are going through the same phase.
According to a number of complaints received on Reddit, the Burgundy red units of the iPhone 18 Pro series are slowly getting pale. The pictures shared by the complainants shows discolored Burgundy and Black iPhones. The colour fading seems to start from the area around the camera lenses before spreading to the whole aluminum chassis. This also happened last year, as per reports.

Again, people are speculating why this is happening and are discussing workarounds, like using the phone with a case at all times. Our best bet is UV light, because just like before, the discoloration begins after the phone has spent some time outside.
Apple has not reacted to the allegations yet, but, Apple might acknowledge the issue and start replacing the faulty units like last time. So, time will tell, and we just need to wait.
