NBCC (India) Limited, the state-run construction giant, just announced it landed a major work order—₹37.74 crore (before GST)—from Odisha’s Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department in Bhubaneswar. It’s part of a larger basket of orders totaling ₹83.24 crore, which NBCC secured across Maharashtra, Delhi, and Odisha as part of its ordinary course of business.

The targeted Odisha project spans across several districts in the state and focuses heavily on expanding and constructing critical public healthcare and administrative infrastructure. NBCC’s filing spells out that the company will build regional veterinary hospitals, polyclinics, PCR rooms, diagnostic labs, dispensaries, livestock aid and resource centers, and administrative offices.

It’s a big boost for NBCC, especially after a very strong year financially. In Q4 for FY 2025-26, NBCC posted a consolidated net profit of ₹253.5 crore—a sharp jump from ₹182.7 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s standalone revenue from operations for FY26 hit ₹9,755.3 crore, up from ₹8,730.6 crore in FY25. Annual net profit surged to ₹703.3 crore, compared to ₹476.1 crore a year earlier.
