Hero MotoCorp – India’s Leading Two-Wheeler Manufacturer, has introduced the new Xtreme 160R 4V. The updated Xtreme 160R 4V has been launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 1.27 lakh (all mentioned prices ex-showroom Delhi). This is the most comprehensive update the motorcycle has got since it’s launch in 2023.

Hero offers the updated Xtreme 160R 4V in three variant with prices starting at Rs 1.27 lakh for the standard version, the Pro trim is priced at Rs 1.37 lakh and the top end variant Carbon costs Rs 1.41 lakh. The motorcycle will go on sale through both regular Hero MotoCorp outlets and Hero Premia dealerships.

Based on the company’s new ‘Cybersharp’ design language, the bike features a revised tank shrouds, a more muscular stance and reshaped body panels. It now has improved knee grip and rider comfort.

The motorcycle is packed with an auto-illuminating Class D LED headlamp, projector high beam, ambient light sensor and H-shaped DRLs. An H-shaped LED tail lamp and full-LED indicators complete the lighting setup.

Powering the bike is a 163cc four-valve oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 17bhp and 14.6Nm. Hero claims a 0-60kmph time of 4.4 seconds describing it as the fastest motorcycle in its segment. One useful ownership change is the longer service interval. Neither an oil change nor tappet adjustment is required until 6,000km, which should reduce the frequency of early routine maintenance.

The motorcycle uses a 276mm front petal disc and 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Hero has also added Panic Brake Alert, which warns surrounding traffic during sudden hard braking.

The instrument console gets major changes. A new TFT screen displays riding modes, gear position, shift advisory, cruise-control status, distance to empty and real-time fuel economy. Bluetooth brings call and message alerts, music controls, phone battery information and turn-by-turn navigation.

Hero has also fitted illuminated soft-touch switchgear, hazard lights, a Type-C fast charger and five-step adjustable brake and clutch levers. The rider triangle has been revised, while the seat is now 16mm longer at 642.9mm. Buyers will be able to choose between single- and split-seat layouts.
