Samsung is reportedly working on a new smartphone model, which is said to be the Samsung Galaxy S27. Ahead of official announcement, the upcoming Samsung smartphone has been spotted in the GSM Association’s IMEI database.

The Galaxy S27 was spotted with the model number SM-S952U. The U letter affixed with it is said to signify which market(s) it’s intended for. The reports have indicated that the smartphone could arrive in the US.

Prior to the IMEI listing, we had got rumours that the Galaxy S27 is actually in development, and will be sold in the US through the big three carriers. However, the IMEI database listing has made it’s existence official.

The device is expected to appear in more certification site in the future.

The other information we received about the Galaxy S27 is that it will feature a China’s BOE manufactured screen. The phone is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2700 SoC, at least in some markets (though the US might not be one of them).

The Galaxy S27 family is said to be growing by adding a fourth member, and should become official in January.
