Car hits roadside tree in Odisha; 3 killed, 4 others critical

Nuapada: At least three persons were killed while four others were critically injured after a car in which they were traveling hit a roadside tree on NH 353 near Tikhali of Nuapada district today.

A group of seven youths, who are said to be the residents of Komana, were going towards Khadial area in the car that had a registration number –OD 26 G 8489 at around 8 PM today.

However, driver allegedly lost control over the vehicle and hit a roadside tree. The mishap was so severe that two of the occupants died on the spot while five others were rushed to the Komana Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.

Unfortunately, one of them died at the CHC while four others were shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital for further treatment.

The entire body of the car was also completely damaged due to the tragic accident.

Meanwhile, Komana police has started an investigation into the matter.

A pall of gloom descended on Komana village following the untimely and unfortunate deaths of three young men due to the accident.
