Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphone series later this year, which is expected to include the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

Although the company has not officially shared any information about the upcoming lineup, a new leak claims the Pro variant may feature a 2K resolution display.

The handset is also tipped to be tested with a privacy display system that combines hardware and software features, similar to the technology expected on Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra.

According to a post shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Xiaomi is reportedly testing a flagship smartphone featuring a next-generation 2K display along with built-in privacy protection technology. Although the leak did not identify the device by name, reports suggest the feature could debut on the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

The rumoured privacy feature is designed to limit screen visibility for people viewing from nearby angles, helping keep sensitive information hidden. Similar to the technology expected on Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra, it could reduce side-angle visibility to better protect messages, passwords, banking information, and other personal data displayed on the screen.

If the feature makes it to the final device, Xiaomi could become the second smartphone manufacturer to offer this type of privacy display technology, after Samsung.

Meanwhile, another leak from tipster Smart Pikachu claims the Xiaomi 18 lineup could arrive with a 200-megapixel main camera powered by LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are also expected to retain the existing rear display design while offering higher brightness levels.

The new details add to earlier reports indicating Xiaomi may revise its flagship launch schedule this year. Instead of introducing all models together, the company is tipped to launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max first, followed by the standard Xiaomi 18 at a later stage.

Xiaomi has not officially revealed any information about its next flagship smartphones so far. However, rumours suggest the Xiaomi 18 series could go on sale in China ahead of next year’s Chinese New Year celebrations.
