Additional Revenue Inspector of Brahmani RI Circle found dead

Sonpur: The Additional Revenue Inspector (ARI) appointed at the Brahmani RI Circle under Tarabha Block, of Sonpur district, allegedly committed suicide this morning.

The deceased ARI has been identified as Taruna Nanda Sahu, a resident of Ghodaghatpara village in the district.

While the exact cause of the ARI taking the extreme step is yet to be known, it is suspected that he hanged himself due to domestic dispute.

It is alleged that Taruna Nanda was suffering from mental distress due to the ongoing family disputes. Despite the marital discord, he had not been neglecting his official duties. However, he was found dead in his room and his body was hanging with a bathing towel this morning.

Upon receiving information about his death, Sonpur police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and initiated an investigation into the matter. Cops also sent the ARI’s body for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
