Hero has launched the Flex Fuel variant of the HF Deluxe in India. The bike is priced at Rs 72,792 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero has made several changes to the bike to make it compatible with E85 fuel.
The Flex Fuel variant is more expensive than the base HF Deluxe by Rs 13,315 and Rs. 172 than the HF Deluxe Pro.
Mechanically, the Flex Fuel variant of the HF Deluxe continues to be powered by the same 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.4bhp and 8.3Nm. However, the engine has been upgraded with a revised ECU and upgraded fuel-system components to enable compatibility with E85 fuel.

The bike sports a special Black colour scheme with Lime Yellow graphics, that makes it standout in the HF Deluxe lineup. The company has also equipped the motorcycle with a new twin-pod semi-digital console, and an analogue speedometer in one pod, and a digital fuel gauge on the other. It also comes with a side-stand cut-off feature as standard.
These are the changes we can see in the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel variant as the other features remain same. It sports a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers remain and runs on 18-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The braking setup includes drum units at both ends.
Note that the E85 fuel is a biofuel blend of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol. It is a high-octane alternative to standard fuel designed specifically for Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs).
