Redmi K100 with 10,000mAh battery confirmed to launch next week

Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date and key specifications along with the design of the recently teased Redmi K100 smartphone. The device will be the latest addition to the Redmi K100 series in China. The series already holds the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max that were unveiled in August.

Redmi has scheduled to launch the K100 in China on October 28. The brand announced the launch date via an official post on Weibo. Alongside, Redmi also showcased the phone in a new Firefly Green colorway.

Redmi K100 has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with the company’s D2 display chipset. In addition, the phone’s display specifications has also been revealed. The phone will sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It will offer 165Hz refresh-rate in over 40 games.

The K100 will pack a 10,000mAh battery and will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 out-of-the-box.

Redmi is also set to unveil the Clip Neo open-ear earphones alongside the K100. Meanwhile, the phone is already available for pre-order in China.
