All-new Mini Cooper Convertible sold out in 24 hours

The all-new Mini Cooper Convertible was recently launched in India on December 12, 2025. The company introduced the car at an introductory price of Rs. 58.50 lakh, ex-showroom. Now, the company has claimed that the new Mini Cooper Convertible has exceeded expectations and was sold out within the fisr 24 hours after it’s launch.

With the overwhelming response from customers in India, the company aims to open booking for the next phase of deliveries early next year.

All-new Mini Cooper Convertible design, engine, and features

The overall silhouette of the new Mini Cooper Convertible remains the same as the classic Mini. However, it has also received some cosmetic changes including a new grille layout,  redesigned round LED headlamps with multiple lighting signatures and vertically aligned LED tail lamps. The LED tail lamps have a flush surface design finish.

It is offered in four exterior shades namely British Racing Green, Chili Red, Sunny Side Yellow, and Ocean Wave Green, along with Black or White mirror caps. The car rides on aerodynamically designed 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

It has a convertible roof that is made up of fbirc. The fabric roof is electrically operated and can be opened in 18 seconds and closed in 15 seconds, at speeds of up to 30kmph. It can also be partially opened to act as a sunroof. The boot capacity stands at 215 litres with the roof closed and 160 litres when folded.

Inside the cabin, the car has the Mini’s round OLED centre display that houses both the instrument cluster and infotainment screen. Feature list of the car includes BMW’s Operating System 9 processir with integrated navigation, connected services, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Intelligent Personal Assistant.

Other equipment includes a heads-up display, Harman Kardon audio system, digital key functionality, wireless charging, toggle bar controls, and multiple Experience Modes that alter the cabin’s light, sound, and graphics. Electric sports seats in Vescin upholstery are standard, along with an active seat for the driver.

Engine

Powering the new Convertible is a 2.0 litre turbo-petrol engine producing 201bhp and 300Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual clutch sport automatic gearbox. The car achieves 0 to 100kmph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 240kmph. The Convertible comes with a standard two year unlimited kilometre warranty and 24×7 roadside assistance.
