1 Dead, 2 critical in major accident in Odisha’s Balasore

Jaleswar: In a tragic accident, one person died and two people are injured critically as a car (Bolero) rammed into a scooter at Chanapokhari square in Karmada of Balasore district this morning due to dense fog.

The deceased has been identified as Abanti Kar of West Bengal.

According to sources, there was dense fog in the morning due to which the visibility was limited. Kar was travelling from Karmada towards her home. The car was heading towards Jaleswar from Chandaneswar when the collision happened.

The victims were rushed to the Karmada Community Health centre (CHC) where one of them was declared dead by the doctors.

The two critically injured are undergoing treatment at the CHC. Police reached the accident spot and started a probe into the matter.
