Hafiz Saeed’s associates spotted at Shoaib Akhtar’s brother’s funeral

New Delhi: Following a video from the funeral ceremony of Shoaib Akhtar’s brother, individuals from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were witnessed offering prayers at the funeral in Islamabad.

In a video that has gone viral now on social media platforms, people in affiliation with Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), a group often referred to as LeT’s political wing.

Notably, some among the mourners were also close aides of LeT founder and mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed.

Shahid Akhtar, the elder brother of the retired Pakistani bowler, passed away this week after suffering from a heart attack.

While Shoaib Akhtar had confirmed the news of his brother’s demise on social media platforms, he has yet to express his thoughts on the issue related to mourners at the funeral event.

The matter has once again brought back the focus of the international community on India’s repeated concerns for the presence and operations of terror organisations in Pakistan.
