The career and reputation of a young, male A-lister may rest in the hands of two media outlets. Attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, lawyer for ex-porn star Adria English who accused Combs of sex trafficking, tells NewsNation the discovery of a sex tape featuring Combs and the other celebrity led to a bidding war between two major news networks.

The attorney said she contacted her client - who she’s since requested to withdraw from - encouraging her to alert the celebrity before the tape’s anticipated leak. According to English’s lawsuit, she was a worker at many of Combs’ “White Parties” and tended to A-list attendees, many of which have been identified by the public through photos. The attorney said the leak is closer than we think.

“We’re sooner rather than later finding out unless that person purchases the video themselves, which is really the goal of the people who have that video. If that person doesn’t want to purchase it, it’s going to go on the open market,” said Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, a lawyer for one of Combs’ accusers.

One insider supposedly close to this mystery A-lister told The New York Post the celeb is “horrified” that the footage is even being circulated behind the scenes. The source also told The Post the celebrity felt “victimized” years ago and is now being “victimized again.”

“It’s a total nightmare. If this footage gets out, it will follow him for life. It will be on the internet forever,” the source said to The Post.

Another source told The Post the celeb is trying to ignore the situation and “pray it all goes away” because there’s “not much he can do about it.” It’s unclear if the celebrity was of the age of consent at the time of the tape which is why his name has been kept anonymous.

Social media users are in an uproar suspecting the shopping around of the video should warrant prosecution. Others are fearfully wondering who the unidentified A-lister is.

“That is too sad. The victim should be protected. And the person who is shopping it to the word should be prosecuted,” wrote one TikTok user.

“It has to be Usher or Justin [Bieber],” wrote another.

“If it’s JB… he isn’t stable enough for this. Breaks my heart,” wrote another user.

The chatter comes on the heels of the announcement of a pending lawsuit featuring over 100 plaintiffs accusing Combs of sexual assault and sexual exploitation. The Texas attorneys leading the suit said over 25 plaintiffs said they were minors at the time of the alleged incident.

On Monday, Sept. 16, the 54-year-old rap mogul was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities. His indictment was unsealed the following morning, revealing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution. The allegations against Combs include sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery and various drug offenses.
